APS Film Availability in U.K.
This seems like a silly question, but I guess I'll ask. Is APS film readily available in the UK? I'll be bringing some with me, but just in case....
|
I am in the camara business in the US.
According to all the trade magazines, APS enjoys a bit more success in Europe and much greater in Asia.
Having said that I would still take all you need. It is more expensive in England. I check all camera related prices on my last trip in 99.
Remember to put all film in your carry on bags NOT in your checked bags. The scanners they use for checked bags WILL damage film.

make that "film is MUCH, MUCH more expensive in the UK" (and Europe in general)
|
Having heard much on how expensive film is in Europe, what does film really cost in the US?
|
I have to admit that when I was in the US last year, I bought APS film, because I ran out (I'm from the UK), and I dodn't notice that much of a difference in price.... Maybe I bought it in an expensive (by US standards) place!

In today's paper our local Longs' (sort of like Boots) Kodak 35mm ISO 200 24 exposure is advertised at five rolls for $7.99 (approx £5.16). APS 200 ISO 25 exp is three rolls for $9.99 (£6.45)

I usually use Fuji which is often even less expensive.
|
What is APS film?

There isn't much price difference between regular film in the UK versus the US.
