April or September?

I have been planning our Italy trip now for some months but really can't decide whether we should leave the week following Easter 2002 or the end of September 2002. I guess I am so anxious to go that I don't want to wait til the fall, but my mother keeps telling me fall is better weather-wise. Opinions on weather and otherwise, thank you!

By a slim margin, I think she is right - - September is better. But April might well be cheaper.

Best wishes,

Rex
Hi Linda,
No doubt September. I've lived in Florence 7 years and now in the Cinque Terre. It is cheaper and not so warm.
Her in the CT is difficult to find a good accomodation but if you decide now there will be no problem for 4-5 days of relax
Good relax

Look at weather.com I also have contimplated whether to go to Rome in the spring or fall. According to weather.com, spring is much better because their rainy season is from Oct-Dec.

Linda. Easter 2002 is a little early that year...March 31. Maybe you can plan closer to May if you still want to plan for April. It might give you a little edge on the weather and the airfare may still be reasonable.
