April in Paris......

I already have my tickets for Paris and am concerned about the holidays surrounding Easter, Good Friday and Easter Monday. What will be open on those holidays?. Will some of the tourist attractions be open, ie: Seine cruises, and city bus tours??? Any help will be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

We were in Paris a couple of years ago on Easter Sunday. Pretty much everything was closed, but the city is still wonderful and we walked everywhere. It was cold and blustery but not too uncomfortable. There were plenty of places open to eat and we found that after noon, people started coming out and walking. The Ille St Louis was busy with strolling couples and all the restaurants were open. You may just have to take long walks or ride the regular bus. The museums are closed.

Hi Anne,

My wife tells me that when we were there over Easter (2 yrs ago) the sound of the church bells was wonderful.

Easter Sunday and Monday are quiet days and a lot of stores are closed. It is nice just to walk around since the city is very calm. I was there two years ago and the weather was unseasonably cold, so be prepared for anything weatherwise.

We went during mid-April 1999 and the weather was freezing still.
