Aprez London

Hello fellow travelers,

I will be in London for work for 4 days and have 3-4 days off after. I was thinking of taking a short flight/train somewhere like Dublin/Cork/ or Edinburgh. Can anyone recommend a good trip in the short time that is economical? Amsterdam...etc??
I have already been to London and Paris a few times.

Any comments suggestions welcome!!Thank you

Amsterdam is easy to do; lots of flights from London, and it is small enough to see in 3 days. If you've never been there, I can recommend it.

Thanks Tulips,
do you have any hotels or sightseeing recommendations? Isn't there a town that makes cheese just outside Amsterdam?

I also think Amsterdam could work well for you for just 3 days. It is a perfect add-on city to see, as it is close to London. Amsterdam is unique and definitely worth visiting.
3 days will give you enough time to walk the city, visit the museums, visit cafes and enjoy.

andreazbc-
It is hard to recommend a place for you without knowing what your interests are. Are you looking for a big city & shopping? Or country side? Or museums? Or historic sites?

Being in London there are countless options.
Staying in London and do day trips to Cambridge/Oxford etc.
Lake District, or Scotland, or Wales.
Or head out to Sonehenge, Bath, Glastonbury.

With Ryanair & Easyjet, there are many places you can fly out to economically as well.
