Approx. 3 days in Athens, plus cruise
 

After many years, I will be returning to Greece with a group of friends; there are 12 of us. We have booked a Celestyal 7-day Aegean cruise from Piraeus, with stops in Mykonos (overnight), Milos, Santorini (overnight), Iraklion, and Kusadasi, returning to Athens. We have one day before the cruise to spend in Athens (our arrival day from US) and will stay 3 nights in Athens after the cruise. Three excursions are included with the cruise: a visit to Oia, a visit to the Palace of Knossos, and a visit to Ephesus from Kusadasi. We love scenic and natural experiences, as well as historical sites and churches. We enjoy good food and are adventurous in dining. We are all good walkers, though I would not call us hikers. Tour, restaurant,and sightseeing suggestions in Athens and/or the islands would be appreciated. I am urging our group to do a sunset visit to Sounion. The Milos, Iraklion, and Kusadasi stops are just a few to several hours each. We will have 1 1/2 (that is, two X 3/4 days and an evening between) each on Mykonos and Santorini.
