Apply for Scavi tickets

I'm headed to Rome in October. Is there a way to apply for Scavi tickets via email? I've seen a fax number but I don't have access to a fax machine.

I have no idea if these are accurate but a quick google search I found these instructions, with an email address:

Visit of the Excavations below St. Peter's Basilica

Laurie_ann’s links will work. I’ve done the tour many times and have always emailed. Be sure to apply for tickets as far in advance as possible and give them all of your available days for the best chance of getting tickets. I’m not sure if it makes a difference, but I always tell them that I’m a member of xyz parish in my city and I’ve always gotten tickets. It’s a great tour!

Thanks!

Thanks! I assume you only hear if you have received tickets. How far ahead do you hear?

If you email, be sure to check your spam filter regularly in case the reply gets snagged.

Flem04 I believe they get back to you either way. I remember getting an email saying they didn’t have any openings but we were able to free up an afternoon and they emailed back that they had room that day. Good luck!

Thanks. And Jean thanks for the tip about the spam folder.

So I received tickets for a Scavi tour. From the tour can one go directly into the main part of the Basilica or does one have to go get into the security line?
