Aperol news

For Sandi and Claire and anyone else who loves Aperol:

We now know that Aperol is now avalable in the Metro New York area, as well as in San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and Miami markets. Plans are for the product to debut nationally in 2007. A long time to wait, however!

And where exactly if you don't mind. I have been searching since our return from Italy in March '03. Had finally resigned myself to bringing an extra suitcase this September to bring home several bottles.

I happen to be traveling from Orlando to Key West (through Miami) next week and will make it a point to stop if I know where.

Any details would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I am sorry but I do not know Miami...but if an item is distributed there, any retailer should be able to order it for you on one or two days notice.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, it's at Beverages & More. I believe it is also available, tho not sure about shipping rules, from their online store www.bevmo.com

Thanks everyone. With the distributor information (Skyy), it should be easy to track down now. I am SO excited.

I can only speak for New York here, but what many people do not realize is that if a product is distributed here, ANY retailer can and should order it for you. Just because a product is not on the shelf does not mean you cannot buy it in a particular store. Retailers cannot stock everything, so just ask..it will take them one phone call and the product will be on the delivery truck the next day or the day after. You do not have to pay up front. As I say, I only have experience with New York City but suspect this is the case in other markets as well. This is all assuming that the product is available in a particular market, as Aperol is in the cities listed above.

That is good news, ekscrunchy. Now, if only they would begin carrying it in my part of the world. :(
