Apartments in Venice and/or Rome
 

Hi all, We are planning a trip to Rome and Venice in the fall and would like any information that you have about apartments in those cities. We will be in each place for a week. I have allergies and need somewhere without a lot of heavy drapes, preferably with a hard surface floor. Thank you. These forums have been such a help in my travels; you are all great!

We rented with http://www.viewsonvenice.com/ in Venice and they were very professional. They also have wonderful apartments. I would recommend renting an apartment in the Dorsoduro, which in my opinion is the most beautiful area in Venice. It´s a little away from the main drag, very upscale but also close to all the sights. Just lovely!!
