Apartments in Paris?

Are there websites that specialize in Paris apt rentals? We are looking for August for 3 (maybe more) nights. We need a 1 bdrm - not a studio.

Many/most apartments will rent by the week or month. However, you might want to check Citadines (www.citadines.com), which offer "apartment-hotels" with nightly rates.

They have loads of locations throughout Paris, and most offer both studio and 1-bedroom apartments.

Thanks but it looks like they charge 3-4X the price of a hotel. Way too much. Maybe a hotel with suites would be less?

the best one I know of is www.vrbo.com

Try rentparis.com. We just returned from a stay in one of their apartments and were quite pleased. The apartments are available by the day, and are located mostly in the Marais.

most will require a week stay but I have seen some that quote a nightly rate. If you find one that's perfect but only see a weekly rate, email them anyway. They may be dying for a renter.

I second the VRBO site. Many of the apartments list a per night rate. There is a wide range of prices and sizes. We are booked for a one bedroom, with a lounge that can close off for a second bedroom, for 110E per night in the 16th Trocadero.

We first tried to get one in the 15th but it was already booked for our visit next May. I like this site because they have layout plans for each apartment.

Contrary to others, I have rented a couple and perused probably a couple dozen Parisian apt. web sites and have never seen one that required a weekly or monthly rental. The problem with your request is that you are looking for something in just a week or so (maybe four at most). Many good Parisian vacation apt. rentals are booked 6-12 months ahead of time. Ones with AC are very rare, so if I were you, I'd just book a hotel for your August trip -- particularly if you are only there 3 days. Many of them are more expensive than hotels, even the ones without AC. Also, you must prepay (often 50% upon booking, perhaps 100 pct if the dates are in less than a month; you must prepay everything before staying there, not upon checkout like a hotel) and probably give a deposit.

Although I never actually rented from them, I found them very good to deal with, and they have some lovely apartments on offer:
