Apartments in Madrid, Barcelona
Anyone rent an apartment in Madrid or Barcelona? I'd like your opinion, not on staying in an apartment (which we prefer), but actual apartments you've stayed in. We want at least 1 bdroom, 1 bath.

Yes, I used waytostay.com recently for Madrid (some of the properties are cross posted on Friendlyrentals.com with different prices). I stayed in this unit: http://www.waytostay.com/Madrid-apar...n-214-2382.htm (it is also in friendlyrentals.com).
It was fine, good area. Wifi was a bit spotty at times, those not a big deal. They have several units in this building listed, this one is in the back, and the balcony does not overlook the street. This is ideal for most people who want quiet. I like noise. I am planning to rent from this owner's pool of apts in the area again in the fall. |
In November, I will be staying in the Predera apartment in Barcelona. I learned about it a couple of years ago in Nikki's terrific report (below).
We were supposed to stay there in 2008 but had to cancel at the last minute and found the staff at Habitat very nice to work with. If you search here you should find other reviews of the apt. http://www.habitatapartments.com/en/...ew/pedrera.htm http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...rip-report.cfm |
Typo: the apt. is named PEDRERA.

Last year we stayed at an apt at Plaza de la Paja in Madrid. Nice apt, great location. It has a 2nd very small bedroom and two bathrooms. We rented it from Spain Select.

we rented 2 bed, apts from Spain Select in Madrid ( twice) and Habitat in Barcelona ( three times).
Satisfied with the service and the apts. www.spain-select.com www.habitatapartments.com |
A couple of weeks ago we stayed in this apartment in the Born area of Barcelona. We were very pleased with the rental company and felt the apartment was a great value. We stayed in the Vidreria building in a small one-bedroom apartment.
