apartments in Berlin; need help

I want to stay in an apartment for 2 nights in Sept. with 4 other adults. We have been looking at the "zimmer" on-line booking sights. Are they reputable? What would be the "best" area to stay in. We want to see the "major" sights, and would rather not drive. Thanks

We stayed in a studio (for two persons) , booked via http://www.123berlinzimmer.de and they were very correct.

No need car in Berlin! The city is big, but the public transportation is very good. we used mostly the bus or tram, but there is also metro.
At Alexanderplatz, at Tourist office, you can receive a good advise about what is the best for you: daily pass or separate tickets.

Best location IMO is near intersection of Unter den Linden and Friedrichstrasse
In Mitte.
