Apartment Vicolo Di S. Guiliano in Rome?
Has anyone stayed at this apartment before? We are thinking of renting it and are looking for any reviews.

A typo - the websight is:
http://sleepinitaly.com/files/apt_sangiuliano.html Have not stayed there but noticed: 1) The location is perfect. 2) It looks like it might be a basement unit (which might account for its very low rates) - I would double check with the agency if this would be a concern to you. |
Thanks Bardo, sorry for that mistake in the URL. :o)
Glad to hear that the location is good. We weren't sure if we should stay in this area or closer to Piazza Navona...but I think they are very close, right? It would be nice not to stay in a basement unit, but I think for this trip location is more important to us than a view. We don't plan to spend a lot of time inside we just need a comfortable place to sleep and rest. Also, it has to fit within our streamlined budget. :o) |
Hi littlenemo (like the name)!
I have stayed in an apartment in Rome before and thoroughly enjoyed it and would do it again. The one you find looks very nice and the location is really quite good. When we stayed in an apartment, we were on the other side of the river in Trastevere in an out of the way area and it was still worth it. It had two levels (the kitchen and second living room were down at the basement level) an it was fine for us and we were three women staying there. Also, the fact that the street of this place is a Vicolo, indicates to me that it's a smaller sidestreet, which to me is good. You mention the view. You might want to check that out if it's an issue to you because many apartments won't have a view to speak of if they are on the first (second by U.S. standards I believe) or second floors. Whatever you do, have a great time!! |
Maybe it's not a basement unit.....
I have noticed that, usually, when an apt. has windows hat look out, the website will accentuate that fact. Their does appear to be natural light, but the drapery makes it difficult to discern whether the window is "up high" or full length. It may just be that the photographer failed to show the apt. to its best advantage - again you might want to confirm this via email or a phone call. |
I've found that ground-level apartments can have lots of street noise.Romans stay out late, then walk home. Trust me high-heels on cobblestones can be very loud!
