Thanks so much for the information! I really appreciate it. Giovanni, the owner, has given me a wealth of info. I just wanted to hear from someone who actually stayed there. The location and space seem great for what we are looking for.We will just have to do the math and see what amenities are most important to us. Less cost and 1 small bathroom with 3 bedrooms, or a much higher price with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Thanks again.

You are correct - it comes down to the budget. I doubt we would have found anywhere better for the same money. And if that is the upper budget limit, it is only for 3 days, so I would say "go for it!". It is very clean, the beds were comfortable, and Giovanni very helpful (a delightful man) ..... for most of the rest of the time we were out and about. Whilst not our favourite apartment, we did not feel the urge to "move on" - we have in the past "abandoned" an apartment one night into a week's rental despite losing our money as it was terrible. This apartment did NOT fall into that category. Good luck, and we hope you have a great trip, no matter where you stay!

it's wonderful to be reading these detailed descriptions, great trip report PRLCH! I am happy to have learned about the human aspect from your report, for us it was very important to have a good relationship with Stefano from domus in rome, that helps a lot. For this autumn we are planning to go back to Italy and focus on Florence this time, so casa caterina is a perfect suggestion. Are Fillipo and Caterina the owners?

Yes and the son's name is Fillipo too. They are delightful people. Enjoy it myramyra.
