Apartment Rental in London-suggestions please!

Just wondering if any of my fellow fodorites have stayed in a London apartment that they absolutely loved or would recommend??? Thanks in advance!

I am going to London in summer 2008 and I am considering a Landmark Trust property at 43 Cloth Fair.

Here is the Landmark Trust website:

I have not stayed at this property, so I can't tell you from personal experience, but it's one you might want to research for yourself. From all I've been able to learn so far, it sounds ideal for me.

We've stayed at the Somerset Queen's Gate Gardens about three times and loved the large rooms, views and the included breakfast. I've seen recently they were bought out by Fraser Suites and remodeled so might be even better now. www.central-london-apartments.com is the only address I have for them.
Love the convenience of the Gloucester Rd. tube stop as well.

Hi...I have stayed in an apartment rented through London Serviced Apartments and loved it! It was The Mansions on Earls Court and we had a 2 bed, 2 bath. The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped including a washer/dryer combo. Earls Court Underground was 1 block away and took us anywhere we needed easily! Many stores for groceries too!!

London Serviced Apartments offer a wide range of apartments in many locations throughout London in 3 price ranges, so, there is almost always something for everyone!!

I will be renting londonguestsuites property #1122 in March. I will post a report on my return.

I, too, have stayed in The Mansions on Earls Court and recommend it. Staff is helpful, and it is very convenient to the Earl's Court tube.

Thanks David! I will be sure to look into that.

I've loved the one I rented so much, this June will be our 10th(?) stay there -- I've lost count.

Mine is the Floral Street flat -- a huge loft style place in the heart of Covent Garden on the quiet cobblestoned Floral Street.
