Apartment recommendation to stay in Paris
Hi,
I am looking for an economical place to stay in Paris with kids for 5 days. 2 adults and 2 kids. In US I can get a 3.5-4 star place to stay on the average $120 a night. I am looking for something like that in Paris. Any recommendations?

Some people will tell you that there is no problem enting an apt in Paris. (Iris, where are you ltely ?)
I've never done it via airbnb or such - know that a ot of those apts are illegal and we start seeing threads with people saying that the rented apt is suddenly unavailable for works. (see at bottom).
As far as I know, apts have no stars.
I don't know what your budget gives in euros.
You may start looking at obvious sites such as booking.com (at least with these sites you pay with CC and get an invoice, so less risks of being illegal).
You may want to disclose what you are after (AC or not, big, small, close to center etc) and when you would come and fore how long, it would help people giving indications.

120 USD = 106 EU.
You will need a quad room in a Paris hotel and there will only be one bathroom. Or you could book two adjoining rooms to get more space and two full bathrooms. Look for Ibis and Accor hotels or Adagio and Citadines apart'hotels if you need a kitchen. Clean and simple and usually in good locations for public transportation.
You might not know that there is a crackdown on vacation apartments in Paris most of which are illegal. If this is your first visit you should stick with a hotel or apart'hotel - no hassle and no nonsense plus someone will be there to help you if you need it.

I don't understand if one wants a hotel or apartment, either. Apartments don't have stars, and in fact, you can't get a 3.5-4* hotel in the US for four people for that rate in many cities. A lot of cities, actually. That's about the rate they charge at a 2* best western motel in my small Midwestern hometown, most of the time. But in NYC oR San Francisco or Washington DC, which would be more comparable to Paris? I don't think so.
It really depends on the dates as hotels can be cheaper from mid-July through August, for example. And really expensive around Christmas/NY holidays. Rest of the time mostly about the same. It also depends on the age of the children. If they are infants or less than 6, that's one thing, if teens, they count as adults.
I don't think you'll get an aparthotel by Adagio or Citadines for around 105 euro a day for four, probably not even in the burbs. You can check their websites, but I doubt it, not in Paris.
