The apartment looks great on the website, but you'd expect that. The location is very good. There's one way to find out for sure.

Thanks Sally.

I'm with Patrick. Given the price, location and the photos on the website, I'd go for it. There're a lot of shlocky apartments available in Venice at higher prices. That goes for hotels as well.

Let us know what you decide, won't you? Good luck.

I will definitely let you know what we decide. I am waiting to hear back from the owner on a few more questions - one of which has to do with an extra day of availability. I am leaning towards renting as of now.

Thanks again!

Given the above I'm wondering what you guys make of the 3 appartements at www.appartamentivenezia.net which includes ca'dei Mori. Given the prices are per appartement they seem too cheap. I've not been to Venice before and thought I would try an appartement so am I missing something?

I just looked at those apartments, pjloft. I guess they're OK, but I'd never want the one at ca'dei Mori, in a very remote part of the city as far as I'm concerned. And while it may be an OK apartment, it sure is stark!

Just for comparison, because it was the same price -650 for a week -- here's a link to the place we rented this past June. It is a very short stroll from Accademia Bridge, or the stop at Zattere in the heart of the Dosoduro. This is an unusual place in that it is the second (US third) floor of a private home and studio. Not spectacular, but very comfortable and in a great location. It is only one bedroom, however, and only suitable for two.
