Apartment in Rome Italy

We are considering renting an apartment in Rome, Italy by the name of Piazza De' Ricci (Campo Dei Fiori). Has anyone stayed here? Any recommendations? We booked an apartment through Sleep In Italy that was advertised as having a round bed and a single bed in the loft area. Now we are told the owner took the single bed out of the loft area. Since we want 2 beds, we are back to our search. Sleep In Italy has suggested Piazzsa De' Ricci as an alternative.

Have you checked Slow Travelers' board?
They have lots on information on apartments in Italy. Very helpful group there

I also looked at that apartment with the round bed. After several attempts with SleepsinItaly, and being told one was, then wasn't, then was available again, we gave up. So many of their places were either ground floor (which I don't like the idea of) or third or fourth floor walk-ups (which in my country really means fourth or fifth floor).

I have instead rented at Palazzo Olivia as have several other posters, including one who just returned from there. Equally great location. See www.palazzo-olivia.it

Definatly check out Palazzo Olivia as Patrick has stated.I really liked it and the location( near Piazza Navona) in my opinion is better than Campo Dei Fiori.

Hi there,

Bummer about that second bed! Don't know how you're doing on your search but I looked at the SII site and the apartment you mention but it says Piazza Navona not Campo dei Fiori? http://www.sleepinitaly.com/files/apt_ricci.html (same one?) Looks good to me, good location too.

Also someone just reinformed me of a sight called www.realrome.com they seem to have some nice apartments with great pricces too.

Hope you find your spot!

Try Venere.com - they have the options of hotels, b & b's, apartments, etc. and you can search by neighborhoods.

I have booked an apartment through Sleepinitaly.com after seeing the same apartment on several other sites (including venere.com) for more money.
