Apartment in Prague
We are looking for a nice apartment in Prague. Old Town, 1 bedroom, lift, tub & shower, phone, satellite tv, linens and cleaning service. Month of May 2006. Any suggestions?
|
Well, my suggestion doesn't supply all of your wishes, but it's close. No TV and no lift, but it was fabulous.
www.pragueroom.com Located on Nerudova, 2 minutes from Prague Castle. We rented a HUGE 2 bedroom in 2004 for 11 days for about $700 for three of us. I'm sure the price has gone up, but not too much. I can't recommend it enough. Have a great trip! |

I am travelling to Prague next year and have found this site - the apartments seem to be very modern, clean and well equipped.

Do you mean May 2007?
Try www.travel.cz Same as www.apartments.cz Their apartments are not cheap, but they are cutting edge, and have great cleaning service. Many apartments do not, or they send questionable people to do the cleaning. |
we stay in city apartment (the Masna one) this February (studio with big double bed and full facilites, washing machine, dryer, kitched and big bathroom). Very satisfy. I would recommend. It is near Old Town. Well, initially you may need to ask around for exact location but not difficult at all. they have counter at Prague airport and we manage to book it at the counter for Euro55 per night.

bardo - Are there even 1st floor units in this place?! Looks like a restaurant, to me, on the main floor. Plus, even if you got a room facing the courtyard, there is outdoor seating, so people will be sitting out there, and the noise factor will be a problem. Not to mention, the description is that it is on the main pedestrian path to the bridge!! NOISE!!
If a lift is a must, there are many apartments with that in reconstructed buidlings. Still sounds like travel.cz, or maybe athos.cz can fill the requirements. Also, try Happy House Rentals: http://www.happyhouserentals.com/index1.php |
Question for Worldinabag: I checked out your link to the Hastalska Street apartment and liked what I saw. Roomy, great price and in a great location. Have you by any chance stayed here? If you have, I'd love to hear about your experience there and what the apartment was like. I will be visiting Prague in June and I'm currently looking for a clean comfortable apartment close to Old Town that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This looks like it would fit the bill but it's hard to tell from just pictures and a web sites' description. Thanks

amp,
I was referring to a European first floor. We stay 7 angels and it was generally quiet, even though our apt. faced the street with all the pedestrians. |
Hi bardo, glad you liked your stay there. You are right - European 1st floor is different. People who need a lift need to keep that in mind. Cheers ((b))
|
Nah, sorry Topflight I haven't stayed there. As you say it has all the right things going for it. It can be a bit of a lottery though. If you do stay there I'm sure everyone in the forum would love to read a trip report including accommodation review.

My friends while in Prague stayed at Stupartska Apartments via http://www.traveliana.com/ - not cheapest but great location, very spacious.
