Apartment in Paris

We are looking about booking Paris Insight Apartment - has anyone stayed in Virginia's apartment or have advice on an alternative apartment.
Thanks.

my husband and I have stayed in various apartments in Paris. One of the nicest we found at www.chezmichelaparis.com Not inexpensive, but worth the money. We have stayed at others we found on www.vrbo.com Good Hunting

Here's the one I've stayed in two weeks each of the last two years and a couple of other Fodorites have since stayed there also. It's on the Left Bank in the heart of St. Germain. Very bright and spacious, well furnished, and even air conditioned.

I opened www.sant.com and found a link to an apartment in Mayfair, London too. Check it out, everyone -- nicely priced modern flat and the location is, as they say in NYC real estate lingo "triple-mint". I have sent an inquiry about availability.

Patrick: Have you any acquaintance with that London flat or knowledge of the person who rents it, by ANY chance?

No, I'm very happy with the flat I've rented in London for about the past nine years, through www.farnum-christ.com (called "Floral Street" on their website). I believe that there is no joint ownership of "my flat" in Paris and the one on the sant site in London, but rather the owners of the Paris flat rent that one in London from friends. I could be wrong.
The Paris apartment is owned by a man in San Francisco and he is wonderful and professional to deal with. Rates are in US dollars, paid to him, and there is a delightful woman in Paris who meets you there and is available for any problems (not that I've ever had any).

I strongly agree with tedgale that renting an apt, especially for that length of time will be preferable to a hotel room. Here is the URL for one that frequent (and well respected) poster Patrick uses. It's within your budget and will accomodate all of you although one would have to sleep on a sofa bed.

If you want something with 3 reg. beds, I'd guess you could find it. Many threads here on Paris apartments if you do a search. Also MANY threads on Normandy. Have fun planning.

Sorry/ Put this on the wrong thread. :-[
