Apartment in Lyon - input please!

Thinking about 1 week in October.
These are under consideration. I know that 2e arrondissement is preferred but the 2 there look like pretty mundane streets. The one in the 1e arrondissement looks like it is on a lovely square.

If you know of any, please feel free to suggest. Looking at around 500 euros for the week.

Thanks~

I've only spent one week in Lyon so hardly an expert. It's a very walkable town and the metro is easy to use. I think all 3 locations would be just fine. The square is a big, busy one. We stayed in the Old Town here http://www.lalogedesavocats.com/index2english.html. As I recall the people we rented from had other options available, but I think they were all in the old town area.

I don't know any of the apartments but I don't think the 2e is better for staying than anywhere else. I stayed in the 1e for 8 days in 2012 and thought it more interesting and characterful than the 2e and will gladly stay there again when I go back to Lyon.
The area around place des Terreaux is indeed lovely, with plenty of places to eat, good markets and also good transportation options. Plus it's a short walk to the 2e and the 5e. And you have the fine arts museums right there, too.

We stayed in Vieux Lyon at this apartment:

Loved, loved, LOVED Vieux Lyon (it is where the apartment referenced above, La Loge des Avocats, is located) and when I go back I will stay in the same neighborhood. However, while this apartment was fine, it was up a flight of very old, winding stairs, so we'll probably look for something a little more accessible next time.

The 1st and 2nd are right next to each other, so that doesn't matter much, but I do prefer the locations of the ones in 2 myself. I stayed in that area and really liked it (in-between the Bellecour and Cordeliers metro stops). There is a pedestrian restaurant street right near there where i ate at night that I really liked (rue Merciere).

The other one on place Terreaux is on a lovely square but it's huge, it's the main center of the city with the hotel de Ville on it and the museum, and I would think would be quite noisy. It wold be like staying in Paris and staying on the square in front of the Hotel de Ville (well, not quite, but almost). the city calls it "monumental", see
