Apartment/hotel advice in Ljubljana, Slovenia

Hello! We are looking for an apartment to rent for a few days in Ljubljana in September. I have found a few but welcome ideas! If that doesn't work out we may get a hotel, but that is second choice. Would welcome ideas there too. I haven't been before, but am thinking we would like to be in or very near the center of the old town. Thanks!!!

One of my favorite hotels of the trip...Slamič B&B (although it's a hote) in Ljubljana. Look at my trip report I sent you on the Croatia post, and go to chapters on Ljubljana. It will have more info on it. Walking distance to everything in Ljubljana you want to see. Really cool town.

Here is Trip Advisor link.

The Apartments in Ljubljana are the perfect choice! We stayed there last year and our son loved having a big room to himself with a telescope to look at the castle! Only a couple of blocks from the centre with parking.

Thanks for the great info! The Slamic looks great. So did the Apartments, but I need to find out more about location. Did yours have a terrace or outside sitting area? We typically rent apartments for space. Appreciate your advice!

We just got back. Loved Ljubljana. We stayed at the Adora hotel. It had a garden sitting area . It was in the pedestrian only section of old town. Although a bit of a pain for parking your car I would highly recommend the area. Short walk to the castle and in the old town. Cafes and restaurants line the streets and the river way. Bands playing on the bridges, people dancing in the streets. It was a young and vibrant city. And we are in are mid 50's. The restaurants and food was the consistent best of our trip

I stayed at the Slamic also. The location is good - not perfect but not bad as Ljubljana's core is small enough that walking to the center was easy. It rained the day I was there, but there was an outside sitting area (not private, shared among the guests) that would have been a pleasant place to enjoy your morning breakfast or coffee. The B&B is above a coffee shop, but it was quiet in the room.

(On a previous visit to Ljubljana, I stayed at the Alibi M14 hostel which wasn't nearly as nice as the Slamic but was in a slightly better location.)

Another advantage of the Slamic for drivers was the fact that (in 2011, at least) they could arrange for free parking for guests, if you asked in advance.

The Apartments are on Gradaska Ulica just south of the centre. Great little neighbourhood with its own cafes and restaurants and awesome bakery along the river.
The larger apartments have a small balcony outside the front door but there is plenty of space inside (huge).

The Slamic is ok if you're not after an apartment.

I appreciate the helpful info. Haven't had a second to look into booking anything, but need to get going, and this will help!
