Apartment for 6 in Paris?
 

Anyone have a reco for an apartment for 6 people in Paris next summer? Doesn't have to be in a trendy arrondissement, just needs to be reasonably priced (not Paris Perfect, much as I love them), close to bus or métro (I'm assuming that would be true of any apartment in Paris), and preferably nearby a market or charcuterie and other take-out places. Friends want to eat in/cook in to save money.

It only has 2 bedrooms so two people would have to sleep on sofa bed, which is new and, according to reviews, more comfortable than the one it replaced that I slept on last April when I was there with my daughter, SIL, and grandchildren.

Location is super, close to "everything", and it is reasonably priced.

Vacation in Paris has a number of reasonably priced properties that sleep 6. They have an excellent reputation, low security deposit (always promptly returned), and do follow-up with owners if a problem occurs. A HUGE advantage, in addition to being able to pay with a credit card in US dollars, is having the keys in hand on arrival. No need to have a phone or make a call to coordinate with greeter. You can drop the bags anytime after 10AM and stay if the cleaning is finished. They are very popular and do book up far in advance, though.

We stayed in the 3 bedroom Palais Royal apartment through www.parisvacationapartments.com. It was convenient to markets and to sightseeing besides being in a wonderful building. They book way ahead so they may not be an option now. They may have another near Montmartre.

Are they 3 couples are or are some of them kids who can use bunk beds? How many bathrooms are required for a pleasant trip?

Three couples who all need a real bed can get pricey. Kids who can manage with bunks or sleep sofas is easier. Usually the multi-bedroom apartments have much better kitchens.

Just in general, I think the 14th can be a great spot for affordability and great transportation connections. and the 2d can be a bargain.

Thanks, all, very much. They are three mature couples, so 3 bedrooms and they would be fine with 2 baths. Will pass on all these suggestions.
