Anyone want to share a wine tour in Tuscany on 10/15 or 10/16?

Hi all,
My wife and I will be in Florence from 10/14/07 to 10/17/07, and are looking to do a wine tour either on Monday, 10/15 or Tuesday 10/16 with either Rebecca Christophersen from http://www.tuscan-wine-tours.com or Franco Fadda from http://www.francowinetourexperience.com. Unfortunately, neither Rebecca nor Franco are running group tours on these days, and the cost of doing a private tour by ourselves is cost prohibitive. Since we know many people have trips planned during this time, I thought we would reach out and see if anyone would want to join us to make a private group tour and defray the costs. We are wine drinkers, not necessarily wine enthusiasts, and so would be interested in doing Chianti or Burnello or whatever you prefer. I have already contacted both Rebecca and Franco, and each has different options. If it matters to you, my wife and I are both 28 yro professionals from Philadelphia, and this is our first trip to Italy. If interested, post here, and I'll contact you via email. Thanks.

Evan

We are going to be in Florence about that time and have been looking at getting out into the countryside. I haven't looked at the wine tour prices but if they are like the cooking classes, I understand the cost being prohibitive, especially if it is only for 4! I just ran across something that has cooking classes, wine tastings, bike rides, hot air balloons, etc. for reasonable prices in the Tuscan countryside. It is called The Accidental Tourist and the website is www.accidentaltourist.com The price for 1/2 day winery tour in Chianti is 45euros. It is only 1 winery (5 wines) but also features olive oil tastings too. This price includes pick up & return to Florence. I have only read 1 review about the cooking class which was favorable. I think that we will be booking the cooking class which includes wine tasting, olive oil tasting, pasta making and of course, EATING! The cost for that one is 85 euro. Again, as I have said I haven't really got a lot of knowledge about this place but I am going to be looking into it.
