Anyone visited the Trattoria Nogarrazza in Vicenza lately?

The "Nog" holds a special place in my heart-my husband proposed to me there. We had every intention of re-visting at our 10th anniversary, but never had the $$ to return. Has it made anyone's itinerary?

Haven't seen it mentioned here, which doesn't mean it hasn't been. I will be spending a night in Vicenza in March. Can you describe this place? Is it in the centro area?

I was there about 4 months ago - I was actually lucky enough to volunteer in the kitchen for a while too! Lived in Vicenza for 3 years and the Nogarazza Trattoria was by far our best Italian meals while in Italy. Paolo Bari is the owner and a GREAT host (for American's as well). He is married to a California native. The restaurant is not in Centro, however in the town of Nogarazza/Arcugnano. It's about a 5-7 minute cab ride (or bus ride) from the Centro. Take the "Arcugnano" bus from the bus stop at the train station in the Centro. It's WELL worth the adventure! Still can't believe it hasn't made it in to any of the travel books. Good luck!

Thanks for the information, niccifitz. I may have to check it out.

P.S. Please keep posting - sounds like you could add a lot to this board.

Wow- that's the place! Paolo helped my husband buy my engagement ring- he had one of his jeweler friends bring a selection to the restaurant, and my husband shopped while dining! Glad to hear he is still there.

It has a website for more info for those interested: www.goldnet.it/nogarazza
