Anyone Use the Venezia Unica City Pass?
 

My husband and I will be in Venice for a few days in September. I was considering purchasing the Venezia Unica City Pass because I like the convenience of customizing the card specifically to our needs and it would also be great to have transportation and entrance tickets all on one card. Has anyone used the card and could you comment as to if it really is convenient and worth buying?

How do the prices compare to a simple transport pass?

I don't see San Marco or the Doge's Palace on the Venezia Unica list, and if you want to see those you'll need to pay and maybe reserve separately.

I've used the Chorus Churches pass, but it was on one of many visits to Venice, not the first.

If you've been to the major attractions, maybe the pass with transport and a few other entrances, including the Chorus Churches, might be worth it. But you need to do the math.

Also, read carefully. The tickets are NOT all on one card. You purchase them all at once, but depending on what you order, you may receive separate passes. For example, I think the travel card will be the standard travel card from ACTV and museums would be on a separate museum card from Venezia Unica.

Should have checked your profile first. Since you've visited Venice, maybe it wouldn't be a bad deal.

We love the Biennale and it seems that there is a pass with Biennale inclusion. It was cheaper for us to buy Biennale tickets and a transport pass, buy YMMV.

If you do go to Biennale, the Korean and Australian pavilions are both really good. Germany has gotten raves but I don't know.

This was my first year going and I just loved it. Also try to see the Damien Hirst exhibition at Punta Della Dogana and Palazzo Grassi (one ticket for both). Phenomenal and lots of fun.

If you see the little flyers around town with Biennale events off the Biennale main locations (Giardini and Arsenale), those are free and frequently take you into buildings that are closed to the public. Sometimes boring and sometimes absolutely incredible.
