Anyone use a computer at Casa Howard in Rome?

We may have to do some work while on vacation. (yuk) We have 3 days at Casa Howard in Rome. Has anyone used a fast line there? I know the new building is wired in each room. We made reservations in the old building before this came up. They tell me they have a computer in the building. We will have ours with us. Will we have trouble getting a line? Will we have to use internet cafes? Should I try to switch to the other building? Any help in this will be great. We want to tour so we will want to be flexible on our computer time. I am a bit concerned.

Thanks

Diane

Dear teach,

Tell whoever thinks that you will have to do some work while on vacation, "I WILL BE ON VACATION!".

Unless, of course, you are self- employed.

Don't I wish I could! I'm hoping it will not be necessary, but if it is, I want it to be convenient and as easy as possible.

Hi Diane, I also needed to do some work when I was staying at the Casa Howard. Unfortunately when I enquired about using the facilities I was told begrudgingly that I could borrow their laptop in the reception area. I wanted to use my own laptop in the room however the line was not ready as we had been promised. I found the Casa Howard very unfriendly to the business traveller and this was one of the reasons I had to check out early. And then they had the nerve to charge me for an additional night!

Hey teach,

Check the other recent posts about Casa Howard. It seems to be losing its luster.

I know-but all of the other posts deal with the new facility. We are booked in the pink room and I'm trying to find out it the new rooms are the problem. It seems that most people seem to be staying at the new place and are not very happy.

If you have any problems with Casa Howard head to the Easy Internet Cafe at Piazza Barberini. They have 300 computers with high speed connection and have places to plug in your laptop as well.

Easy Internet is open 24 hours a day and is well air conditioned and has an excellent bar as well.
