Anyone tried www.bookings.nl?

Found the hotel I want for a rate I like, but, want to hear about people's experiences with this site.

I want to make sure the hotel will have my reservation as well as my request (more than just a request, since Im paying for it) for a canal view room in Amsterdam.

FYI - in case this matters - its the Hotel Estherea.

Thanks!

I used bookings.org to reserve a hotel in Brugge last year with no problems.

A question I had was answered promptly, and everything was as presented.

Wanda,
I used bookings.nl last time I went to Amsterdam and had a good experience with the site. About three weeks before my departure, I booked a stay at the Doelen for about $130 per night. Two days prior to my departure, I looked up the Doelen on the bookings.nl site again and found that they were offering rooms at $90 during the dates of my stay. I cancelled the first reservation and made a new one to take advantage of the lower rate (and a bigger room at the lower rate, I might add!). No problems at all doing this.
FYI, some hotels do offer a "last minute rate" on bookings.nl, some don't.
The Estherea has a very good reputation and is in a very convenient part of the Canal Ring neighborhood.

I used them to request reservations (some hotels don't book online, they respond to an email from bookings.nl), cancelled one and booked another, all with no problems.

We're thinking of trying Bookings.nl...
Is it possible to get details about the accomodations before booking - size of bed, floor, view, etc? Thanks for any input.

I don't see those questions being answered by the booking site, but after you make a reservation, you could contact the hotel directly to ask your questions. Check for the hotel's and website's cancellation policies first.
