anyone taken a train from Brugge to Ypres and back?

anyone taken a train from Brugge to Ypres and back?

How long does it take, how often and how late do they run??

It takes roughly 1 3/4 hours, and you need to change at Kortrijk. I think it runs hourly, and I'm not sure how late, but you can see the times at the Belgian Railways site: www.b-rail.be. Not all of the site is in English, but I know there's an English page for searching timetables. The stations you want are Brugge (not Brugge-St. Pieter) and Ieper.

thanks - I checked the website and it looks like the return train leaves before last post. Darn - may have to opt for a minibus type tour so we can see that.

Are you sure? I just tried it and found a 2139 departure, changing at Kortrijk and Gent and arriving in Brugge at 2329.

The trip would be on either a Saturday or Sunday so that might make a difference.
