Anyone stayed at Concordia hotel in Rome?
I am trying to find a hotel around Spanish Steps or Trevi fountain. I'm looking at the Hotel Concordia. Trying to keep cost around $250 if possible. Has anyone stayed at this hotel? I'm running out of time. Thanks

Hi dtp
I was quite surprised to see no one had responded to your message. I found it because I was doing my own research on the Hotel Concordia. The reviews on tripadvisor.com are fantastic. I hope they are reliable, because Venere.com has a great price for our dates. We are booked at the TeatroPace, but I am thinking of changing because I haven't been feeling well, and the "no elevator" situation could be tough for me. Hopefully, bringing this thread toward the top may get us both some responses. |
I haven't stayed here but I just booked here on the reviews I found at tripadvisor.com. Also I received a good rate on tobook.com at 145 euros compared to 185 on venere.com or 190 on orbitz.com. This was a $50 dollars less a night. 145 euros = 200 dollars. Hope this helps.

pjc115: I read every review of tripadvisor, and I'm suspicious! Except for a few, the language seems remarkably similar, and the dates are consecutive from October. I have never seen 33 reviews on tripadvisor that all have consecutive dates in the last couple of months. Oh, confusion!
On the other hand, there are three reviews on venere.com, and they are all positive. I think I will book; had planned on the TeatroPace with no elevator, but fell yesterday and sprained my ankle. I'm a little worried about no elevator. |
tuscanlifeedit, you can see a few positive reviews of Concordia on Venere. Those reviews are supposed to be harder to fake.
Also, if you check USENET via Google, you can see a positive mention of this hotel, going back a few years: http://groups.google.ca/groups?hl=en...cordia%22+Rome |
I am bringing this discussion back to the top because I am booked at the Concordia in Rome this June. Still time to change it. Has anyone actually stayed there? I'd appreciate any feedback.

Hi,
I ahve stayed at the Hotel Concordia all 4 times I've been to Rome and will be staying there again in March. it's a small hotel, rooms are small but very clean with a fine bathroom, tv and phone. Breakfast is nice, downstairs in winter upstairs outside during warmer months. front desk is great and helpful and the location can't be beat about 3-4 blocks I think to Spanish steps in one direction and maybe 5-7 min. walk to trevi in the other. Plus a great gelato place around the corner and if you've been in Italy a while and are sick of italian food there is a great chinese restaurant across the street. Don't however have pizza across the street- not so good. Oh also atm machine and subway station 1 1/2 block away. Hope this helps. |
Also try to book thru hotel direct they will usually give a better rate and not charge you up front.

Your review matches what I've seen on TripAdvisor. Sounds perfect for our needs since we don't mind a small room as long as it's clean and in a convenient location. Very helpful, Thank you!
