Anyone speak French?
I am a French student hoping to practice my French before planning a trip to Provence, France. If it isn't too much to ask, I would greatly appreciate a response to my questions in French. Merci!
Bonjour! Je vais aller en Provence en été. J'ai besoin d'un hotel. Je cherche un bel hotel bon marché en
Aix-en-Provence. Est-ce que vous en connaissez un?

I think you have come to the wrong forum. Yes, there are some people here who speak French (including me, if you are willing to forgive many mistakes). But the custom here is that we discuss things in English. The focus is more on travel than language learning.
Are you a classmate of Christina? Have a look at http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=35127883 . You will find some useful suggestions there.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I am seeking travel advice just like everyone else here and I don't see why it is a problem for someone to give me the advice I was looking for simply because I asked in French.

You might have better luck at www.tripadvisor.com. It has a French forum.

The reason why it might be a problem is that this forum is a place where the discussion is general, not a set of one-to-one dialogues. If you ask for, and are given, information in French about inexpensive hotels in Provence then that information might not be understood by people who do not understand French.
Perhaps you might come here for travel ideas and information in English, but find other places to practise your French (the best place, of course, being France).

Etudiante is doing exactly what people told Christina to do on the other thread. She is introducing herself, telling why she wants to write in France, explaining that she is learning French, and posing her question in French.
The only problem is that most people on this forum are not proficient in French in order to answer. I understand French, but lacking etudiante's bravery, I am not confident enough to post responses in French. But even if I gathered my courage and gave it a try, I don't know any hotels in Aix en Provence to recommend.
There are lots of people here who do, though, and the best way to access that information is to post a question with a subject heading including Aix, and to ask in English. You could ask in French also, and those who can answer in French could do so.
For more consistent answers in French, however, I would give Coco's recommended webistes a try as well.
