It is currently on tour here in the US (I believe it is currenty in LA). I saw it here in San Francisco last month and just loved it. I think you may have to be an ABBA fan to appreciate it though. Great music, great costumes, OK plot, and loads of fun! See it if you can!

I saw it last year in London as well. Very fun, if you don't mind that the story line is a bit tacky and made to fit the music, not the other way around. How they lead into the songs is in itself amusing. Everyone was on their feet singing at the end.

We saw it last April in London and will see it again in 4 weeks when we are there, it's a real "fun" show. You leave the theater feeling like you had a good time. It's opening on Broadway this fall and is currently touring some cities in the U.S. prior to the big Broadway opening.

It's tacky and corny. But it is fun with a capital F. I have seen it twice in London last year and going for the third time with 11 friends in May. Catch it while Louise Plowright still singing the lead. She has an incredible voice. Her sister Rosalind Plowright is the once-famous opera singer. Just a trivial info for you.

A friend of mine saw Mama Mia in London and just raved about it. When we saw it was coming to the Shubert in Los Angeles we booked our tickets along with the friend who saw it in London. Seven of us girlfriends went last Saturday and had a blast. The music is wonderful - you'll enjoy it if you love ABBA! The audience was a little reserved at first but my friend stood up and helped get the first couple of rows dancing. Soon the entire theater was up singing and dancing as well.
