Anyone rented a house or large apartment near Copenhagen?
Have checked some of the usual sources (VRBO, Homeway, Trip Advisor etc) not having a lot of luck
We need 3 bedrooms minimum (6 people) and 2 bathrooms minimum. For some reason a lot of places sleep 6-7 people buy only have one bathroom.
Sometimes we rent something larger than we need to get 2+ bathrooms ..........4 females
In Copenhagen or outside Copenhagen, either would be fine.

Scandinavian bathroom arrangements in private homes can sometimes leave alot to be desired. I don't know your budget or dates, but there are some places with more than 1 bathroom on VRBO and other booking sites. This apartment on VRBO looks pretty booked up.

Charlottenlund is a really gorgeous area of Copenhagen and not far from the centre. If you look for outside Copenhagen, I would recommed looking north, suburbs such as Hellerup, Charlottenlund, skovshoved, Klampenborg and further north. West & South Copenhagen are not so nice IMO.
You can also try some local Danish websites but this one is not easy to filter.

We are thinking about a trip next June/July 2017.
I always look far ahead as I have found that the nice places book up early and there are not as many rentals with 3+ bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms, as there are rentals for 2-4 people.
An Odin ~ the VRBO rental near Charlottelund that you posted the URL ~ that is the only promising one I had found. I have already started communicating with the owner. Nice to know you like the area.

I think there is quite alot of choice on AirBnb. Here are a few more

This one is in Hellerup which is closer to central Copenhagen than Charlottenlund, it's also an upmarket area (there are many embassies in this area) and has great shops/boutiques/restaurants etc.

Near Karen Blixen's house in Rungsted, might be a bit far out, not if you have a car.

However, some owners don't book really far in advance and others do. So, you might find a place, put in a request and be denied because it's too many months in advance. Then you will be told when to contact them again. I've had this happen in several cities/countries, including Copenhagen.
Right now, I'm waiting until August to recontact an owner of a residence in Asia, for Dec 2016, as when I put in my first request, it was denied as it was too many months in advance although the place where I usually stay, directly across the street, booked for Dec 2016/Jan 2017 before I had even left the condo in Jan 2016, so I won't have that one for 2016/2017. So, just be aware of that possible situation.
I agree with Charlottenlund as I have a friend who grew up there and had a house there. I used to go there all of the time. It's a really nice area. However, I stay in central Copenhagen, but have friends all over the area and just take the S-Tog (S-Train) to them as the transportation system is very good.
Hellerup is also very good and I've spent a lot of time there and there's a S-Tog stop there.
Happy Travels!
