Anyone know of house for rent near Paris

Hi All,

I'm looking for a house to rent long term near Paris (no more than 1 hour by train into Paris)that sleeps 8 - 10 people. Have searched the Web and not found anything as yet, thought word of mouth might be a better idea. Anyone had any previous experiences and/or recommendations of places to stay welcome.

Kind Regards,

Ev

have you checked www.vrbo.com? Sometime they have houses I think. I can't imagine you didn't find anything on the internet.

What do you mean by "long term"? A normal lease is for 3 years.

I sometimes pop into nearby Rouen (an hour from Paris) and I know they have places for rent though from that size you may need two. Minumum rental term is often 6-12 months minimum and you have to pay extra for a penalty in case any damage is done.

Paris and suburbs are full of immigrants so pretty much full up so I would recommend getting out of Paris to find accommodation.

I just tried typing :

house rental rouen upto 10 people

into a search engine and got lots of sites come up.

Note : A return trip by train from Rouen to Paris is about 39 euros (I don't know about weekly and monthly passes). You MUST punch your ticket in a machine to validate it before getting on a train.

<<Paris and suburbs are full of immigrants so pretty much full up so I would recommend getting out of Paris to find accommodation.>>

That is about as outrageous a statement as I have ever read on this site.

WOW!

Between that and somedayparis's remarks about gay men, we've hit a new low here on Fodors.

Go to www.francevillas.com

Click on Paris, then on Yvelines, and look at hours for 11 persons in Orgerus.

Reference number F1056/700

$1865 per week, currentlhy available for four straight weeks in August. Less in off season(s), but already booked at least one week in September.

Or try calling them on the phone.

Best wishes,

Rex
