Well im going to be travelling with my family to stansted from harrow in a few weeks time. Was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good cab company?

Don't assume the airport specialists are necessarily going to offer good value from a non-London postcode.

Go to the official Findaride site (http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/gettingaro...e/default.aspx), input the borough and your location within the borough, then press search (even though it's easy to get the impression you need to enter a firm's name - you don't)

Then use the list of licensed local firms to get other quotes.

Don't use unlicensed cab firms. This isn't an attack on the two janisj's recommended (which I'm sure are licensed): it's a general principle in London.

flanner is right about the non-London post code. Ray Skinner does offer other types of services, not just central London/airports. But other firms, more local to Harrow, could be better.

We have had great luck with Justairports for transfers to and from the city to the airports.

But the OP isn't starting from London -- they will be in Harrow.

Thanks for all the replies. However, I decided to use www.batransfer.com and was very impressed with their service and would recommend their company to anyone it for anyone. They have extremely reasonable prices compared to other cab companies as well.
