Anyone have experience with these Paris hotels?
We will be in in Paris in late July, staying at Hotel du Pantheon in the St. Germaine-du-Pres area, then on to Provence and the Riviera, then back to Paris for one night before we head home to NYC. Our only question is about that last night in Paris. We want to stay in Le Marais, and due to the horrific exchange rate, we can't afford to stay at most of the nicer ones we've looked at. We saw very mixed reviews about the two hotels we're considering for our last night: Hotel de Nice and Hotel France Louvre. Anyone stay there, and have feedback for me? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks so much,
Annie

We'd like to keep it at 100 Euros or less, but MUST have a/c since it's early August. We don't need anything fancy, just clean, no bedbugs ;-). A terrace would be nice, but not essential, must be in Le Marais.
Thanks!

The Marais doesn't have as good a choice of midrange hotels as some other areas. By the way, are you aware your first hotel is not in St- Germain-des-Pres? It's not far, several blocks, so I wouldn't worry but it sounds like you have particular places you want to stay.

About the first hotel: their website says it's in Germain des Pres, so i was going by that. I know it's near the Luxembourg Gardens.
I will check into the hotel you mentioned - thanks!

Hôtel Jeanne d'Arc in the Marais is very good, with doubles from 84 to 97 Euros. We just spent two nights there and thought it was terrific. They fill up quickly, so if you are interested, you should reserve right away.

Dear Nancy,
I did look into Jeanne d'Arc and while it looked wonderful and got great reviews on trip advisor, they don't have a/c, so there's no way we can stay there in early August. Thanks for the tip, though!
