Anyone Have any Experiences With B&B's in Florence?

I love small hotels, smaller the better.
So, I have been looking into some B&B's.
Small, and the prices are lower usually too.
anyone have any input ?
Thanks very much.

One comment, aimed at new travelers to Europe. Except for the huge Sheratons, etc, they are ALL B&Bs. If you've spent a romantic weekend at a cottage in Cape May NJ or Vermont, you have a notion of a B&B being a quaint old fashioned home with the innkeeper baking bread and serving you cider by the fireplace. In Italy and other countries, most every place from run down pensiones to the classier boutique hotels serve breakfast, so they're referred to as B&Bs. Hope this clarifies things : )

It's a great little a pennension in Florence. Check the hotel section for reviews on it.

thanks Beth,
will check it out.
what I have found so far looks great!
xxx- I live in VT.
and realize this about B&Bs,
that is why I am asking.
A home opened up to the public can run the gamet ( ?? spelling)
from great to horrid.
Thanks though.

Nancy, what I'm trying to say is they're not "homes open to the public." That would be an agriturismo, in the more rural areas of Italy. A B&B in Florence will be, 99% of the time, a commercial establishment, not someone's home. Have a great trip!
