Anyone familiar with "selectitaly.com"?

We will be in Italy later this month and have three "must sees" on our itinerary ... the Uffizzi and Galleria de Accademia in Florence and the Vatican Museums in Rome. I have heard a great deal about the Select Italy website and found that many of the guide books recommend using their services. Upon further investigation, however, I found that the price differentials are significant. Select Italy, for example, charges $27 USD per person for reservations and tickets for the Uffizzi and $22 for the Accademia. Checking their websites directly suggests that the Uffizzi admission is 8 Euros and the Accademia is 6.5 Euros admission and an additional 3.25 for a reservation. Vatican Museum admissions are 12 Euros and Select Italy charges $50 USD (this does include a guided tour but ...). Has anyone used Select Italy? Can anyone shed any light on the price discrepancies? As our time is limited would we be foolish to attempt to see the museums without prior reservations and or ticket purchases? Any advice would be appreciated.
