Anyone else having problems with a Cirrus ATM card in France

I am in Paris, and my ATM (debit) card, which is linked to my U.S. credit union account and has the Cirrus emblem on it, has suddenly stopped working. For the past several days it has allowed me to withdraw no more than 20 euros per day. Obviously that doesn't go far in Paris! I called the credit union , they said they don't know what the problem is but are "investigating." Anyone else have this problem and/or know what to do?

I have not have this type of problem. It either works or not at all. Nothing in between at such low value.

Have you done some experiments?
1. credit union debit card at the problem ATM machine - done that.
2. credit union debit card at different ATMs.
3. credit union debit card at different ATMs at different time.
4. another debit card at the problem ATM machine.
5. another debit card at different ATMs.
6. another debit card at different ATMs at different time.

Have no idea what this may be - but the credit union should be able to fix it.

One thing I might try is to use the card at an ATM in a bank and do so during banking hours in the US.

Then if it does the same thing I would walk into the bank and ask.
