Anyone been to Moscow during the protests?

If so, did it effect your visit as a tourist?

Guess no one has.

Anyone planning on going to Moscow in the next few months? Any concerns?

We are planning to go in April - and the amusing thing is we picked it because of the protests in Cairo! We were originally going to Egypt....not sure what to think...

hikergal - Well, I'm sure it will be very different in Moscow vs. what's going on in Cairo. Aren't the elections in Russia happening in March?

I'd love to hear about your trip when you get back. Have a great time. (I'm sure you will.)

I know this is late - but I live in Moscow and the protests are really nothing to be concerned of. I wouldn't even know about them if my friends weren't journalists.

If it still is a concern to you, you can get notifications about protests from your country's embassy here in Moscow.
