Anyone been on the super cheap winter European City packages?

The super cheap packages to Europe are starting to be advertised again. I saw one package from New York to Paris for $369.00. It included RT air, 6 nights hotel and transfers. What a price. (Add $80 for taxes)

How is Paris in November in tourist style hotels? Anyone gone on one of these super cheap packages and survived to tell us about it?

It's so cheap, if the hotel's no good you could probably afford to check out and stay elsewhere.

Do you have a travel companion, as those packages are always double-occupancy per-person based prices?

Can you find out where the hotel is (like anywhere near central Paris)?

Yes I will be traveling with another person. Try go-today or Gate1 for info on cheap travel packages. Anyone experience the cheapest options?

My dad, stepmom, and I just bought package deals for air and 7 nights hotel in Paris in January. My dad/stepmom paid just under $1,500 for 2 people, air/hotel from Houston. I will be travelling solo, so my package cost $972 from Austin. So, my share was about $200 more for a single room. It's more expensive when you have no roommate, but I'm still happy with this deal, it was the best we could find from Texas. We will be staying at the Trinite Hotel, which I believe is somewhere near Moulin Rouge.

We are going on a cheap 3 night journey to Rome in December. While not supercheap (compared to the packages flying out of the east coast), I got a $599 airfare/hotel package (which includes all taxes) leaving from St. Louis on December 1 and returning on the 5th. We've already been to Rome once, but are returning to see what we missed last time. Rome is one of my favorite places, so I can't wait!

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the website I used. I purchased the package from travelocity.com. I clicked on hotel + air to get the package.

Have used go-today 3 times. Satisfied with trip and rooms, for the money they have always been OK.

Here are the questions we would like to ask.
1. How's Paris in January? -weather- is there any snow, wind, rain...?
and
2.entertainment - concerts, opera and etc...

Dear Igemini: A number of years ago, I spent the month of January in Paris. The weather was often rainy and gray, but only a dusting of snow. (For a midwesterner, it was quite balmy for January!) But it is great not to fight the crowds and to leisurely walk around the Louvre, Versailles, and other indoor attractions. Also, if you speak French, the French Theater is in full swing.

Last January We went to London on a 'cheap' trip. It was great. If you do the research, there whouldn't be any surprises. We upgraded to the next hotel on the list and it was certainly clean and comfortable. WE booked with www.offpeaktraveler.com and were very pleased. I'd do it again in a minute.
BUT if you are the type to expect champagne at beer prices, don't do it.
If you are happy with 'beer' , then go for it. There are some great deals.
