Anybody familiar with these hotels?
My husband and I are planning a trip to Italy. We were thinking of 3 nights in Capri at the Punta Tragera, 3 nights in Sorrento at the Belevue Syrene, and 3 nights at the Ambasciatori Palace in Rome. These were the recommendations from our travel agent but wanted a little advice from all of you. Thanks!

I don't know about the one in Capri, but if you enter the other two names in the search function (individually) you'll come up with a lot of comments about those two that have already been posted here, particularly the Belevue Syrene.

Amplifying Patrick's remarks further, read http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34464784
And if and when you post again, please do not assume that everyone will consider your question so important - - that they will click on it to find out what info you are seeking.
Best wishes,
Rex

You're welcome. Info on the Ambasciatori is rather less plentiful here - - and harder to find because that same name evidently exists in other cities.
Here's one thumbs up:

Going just on that one reading, I wonder if you would consider Minerve as a worthy "comp" - - in case you don't find the first hand info on Ambasciatori.
I also recommend www.tripadvisor.com
Last of all, I find it very worthwhile to ask a hotel to send you a brochure in the mail - - antiquated as that may seem these days. Their willingness to respond to such a simple request is often very instructive.
