Any thoughts about spending a week in Alicante in February with our kids?

We are considering a week long trip to Alicante in February to visit our niece while she is studying there. Our 9 & 11 year old daughters will go with us. Due to work schedules, we have to go in February and can only go for 1 week. Is there enough to do in Alicante for one week in February? Does anyone have suggestions for activities, other experiences or day trips? I'm wondering if it is too long in that one city - especially during the off season.

If you are lucky with the weather it will be marvelous. If you want a nice day trip with a fine, spectacular aquarium, take the Euromed to valencia ad go to see it. The kids will love it.

www.renfe.es 60 days in advance to get very inexpensive train tickets. If there are four of you, get the table seats.

You could also go to Guadalest and Altea and Benidorm.. all nice day trips from Alicante.

There will be plenty to do.

Google more info about Alicante and surroundings and you will see that with in 2-3 hours max you have lots to entertain yourselves if you see you have the time.
