Any suggestions for single travel groups?

I am considering going to Europe and would like to go with a group of single people rather than travel alone. (I have traveled alone before and don't feel like giving it a go this time). Anyone know of any good tour companies or operators who specialize in luxury or deluxe tours of this kind? I would only consider a group tour that would give me lots of free time and flexibility of schedule. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What month/year(s)? what destination(s)? I would be very pleased to share info and perspectives on small group custom tours with you, if you would like to write to me directly. My response(s) may come somewhat slowly if you write to me after this Wednesday, June 14 - - as I leave with a group that date. But I will keep in touch by e-mail every few days.

Pam,
If you're athletic and/or like to hike and bicycle, you might try an outfit like Backroads or Butterfield & Robinson. I know some of their trips are reserved for singles.

s.

Hey Rex, post your answer here- I'd be interested too. I've talked to people who have been on trips with Backroads and they've had good things to say. I don't know any details though.

I think you will find a lot of biking type tours for singles. However, here is a good URL in the travel section a few weeks ago for a group that does both US and foreign tours and will try to get a roommate if you wish (and not if you don't, I think) and has 3 age groups (20s, 60+ and all ages). Their prices looked decent from what I saw and they have a good variety: www.osolomio.com
