Any recent experiences with Gate One in Turkey? Would late November be acceptable?
There is a great bargain offered by Gate 1 called Affordable Turkey. It is now available in late November -- 14 days (or more accurately 11 nights + flights). Thru Travelzoo it is $899 from NY plus taxes. I don't think you can fly that cheaply and it includes hotels, some meals, and bus tours.
I see some older experiences with Gate 1, but was wondering if people have recently done similar tours. I am particularly wondering if late November would be a miserable time to go. I have checked sunrise-sunset times and it does get dark rather early, but the temperatures are not bad -- average highs are about 65F.
Any thoughts or advice?
