ANY RACIAL PROBLEMS LATELY?
A Hispanic couple and a Black couple are staying in Brindisi, Italy for a week. Will they experence any problems because of there skin color?
|
No, why should they? There are many Italians that have dark skin, hair & eyes. Many from Naples and Sicily, even have nappy hair. They could certainly pass for black. I see many Asians, Hispanics, Jews, & Blacks traveling throughout Europe. We are all very much the same.

I agree with nikki. I know a few italian people that look black. But they do not see themselves that way though. They still consider themselves white, and are very prejudice towards others, even if they are lighter skinned than they are. I think it is ridiculous. I see plenty of white, blue-eyed blondes, that are just plain ugly. And I see plenty of tanned color brunettes with dark eyes, that are quite beautiful.

dark skinned italians are called "terroni" in italy, a derogatory term. <BR> <BR>'nuff said
