Any intrepid travelers out there? Greenland help please!
My husband & I are trying to plan a sidetrip to Greenland from Iceland in August. This is my husbands dream as he often gets mistaken for being Greenlandic (he's not) and he wants to visit *his people*.
I have contacted Iceland adventure.com, but get no response.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for an outfitter that could help us?
Thanks

Thanks fo the replies.
We are looking for a package of 1 or 2 nights in Greenland - doesn't matter what coast. My husband just wants to address his curiosity and meet some of the people there.
We'll be in Reykjavik. I tried the Greenland air website, but putting a package together by myself in Danish seems daunting.
I guess I am looking for an outfitter that someone has actually used and can recommend. On another thread Iceland adventures was recommended, but as I said they are not responding to my emails.
Any advice appreciated!

We took the one day trip to Kulusuk and it was memorable.
As far as I can see, airiceland does only the East coast, with an overnight at Amassalik which is near Kulusuk. The population on the East coast is very small.
Air Greenland, http://www.greenland-guide.gl/gla/ (English) has flights to the West coast from Reykjavik.
http://www.greenland-travel.com/ seems helpful.
I'm sure we would all enjoy a trip report when you get back.

As an update, I did finally get a response from Icelandadventure.com, and they have organized a 3 day 2 night trip to Greenland, ending with Cultural night and the Marathon in Reykjavic.
Once I got an initial response, they were easy to work with.
Will write a trip report upon our return.
Anyone with a restaurant recommendation for the night before the Marathon in Reykjavic?
