Any great one bedroom apartments in the Marais?
The place we have been renting for the last two years has been taken off the market and we need to find something for an October visit. Anyone have a place that they have loved or even liked?
|
We rented the Marais apartment from www.parisflatrent.com/ last October. The apartment location was great on Rue Vielle du Temple. The apartment is pretty small but was ok for 2 people and was very quiet. Giovanni and Aurelien were very easy to deal with and professional.

Paris Apartments in Paris rentals for rent. St-Germain des Pres, Le Marais, Quartier Latin www.parisbestlodge.com
Good personal exprience many tax cheats scammers CraigsList Vrbo the worst pay with CC/Paypal only. These days for similar or less money can do 4 stars betterbidding.com Meridiens Novotels from $90/nt usually cheaper better than apartments for me... |
Thanks Siofra B for link. Great location for the apartment, unfortunately it is booked for part of our visit. Was it noisy (for future reference)?
Qwovadis, thanks for info. Parisbestlodge already completely booked for October. We like apartments for getting more space and kitchen and the previous one we rented had a wonderful courtyard to sit out on after a long day. |
Not sure about availability, but--
We stayed at this apartment in then 4th in May. It was a great location [about a 3 minute walk from Hotel de Ville] and the owner was very easy to work with and the apt itself had everything we needed/wanted. The price is 99€. I highly recommend this apt. http://www.vrbo.com/339804 |
Darn, the VRBO apt. Looked great, but rented for part of our stay. Thanks anyway, DebitNM. Do you remember what street is was on? Map was not very clear.

You haven't mentioned a budget, but give this website a look:
http://www.ourhomeinparis.com/all_apartments_paris.html. I have rented from them before and had a great experience all round. The flat I stayed in is no longer available through them, but it was a big one anyway. I found the owner fantastic to deal with -- he was very responsive and helpful -- and the apartment was excatly as described. I hope one of their flats will work for you. Good luck! |
Try this: http://www.parispizzazz.com/index.html
Belongs to friends of mine, very well located a block from the Picasso museum and nicely decorated. I've stayed in the one-bedroom, visited others in the 2 bedroom. |
qwovadis promotes his choice of apartment rental agents while suggesting VRBO has "plenty of scammers." Time for QWV to provide evidence, preferably in full English sentences rather than the patois shortforms he prefers.

It is on Rue de la Verrerie and Rue de la Temple.
|
s/b near [not "and"] Rue de la Temple.

We stayed here in March and loved it:

Thanks for the responses, I am checking out a few more apartments that you all have mentioned. Amazing what a range in price for a one bedroom in similar locations.
