Any good lodging recommendations near Termini or airport (FCO) in Rome

For our last night in Rome before returning to the US after vacationing in Italy, we need to stay somewhere allowing an early departure from FCO. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Last year we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn the night before our early flight from FCO. It was much less expensive than the Hilton and easy to reach by shuttle bus from the airport (to avoid problems encountered by others who stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, we walked over to the Hilton (we had come from Rome via train) with all our luggage and two children in tow, and requested a shuttle from there to the HGI). It took about 2 minutes for the shuttle to show up and another two minutes to get to the HGI. Others had complained of waiting for hours on the arrival or departure concourses for the shuttle bus to the HGI. On the morning of our departure, we had no problem getting a shuttle to the Alitalia terminal. And no matter what you may read on Trip Advisor or any other travel website, the food at the HGI was decent and not ridiculously expensive. By the way, the HGI was by far the most expensive hotel accommodation we had during our 2-week trip to Italy (but as I mentioned above, considerably less expensive than the Hilton).

Casa di Amy is a great B&B 2 blocks from Termini. Clean, safe, great breakfast.

Our last trip to Rome we had an early flight and took a car to the airport. This driver was recommended by our hotel. It cost about $50 and the driver was very good. We enjoyed driving at dawn through a quiet Rome. Plus we got one last night in Rome proper.

donaj . . . if you want a very nice hotel close to Termini station in Rome, we just stayed at Hotel Raffaello for 7 nights in August and could not have been more pleased. Clean (spotless), quiet and very charming. It's less than a 10 minute walk to Termini where you can catch a train to FCO, though not sure how early you may need to leave and how early the train to FCO runs. If you want a car service, we used Rome Shuttle Limousine for 50 Euros and they were also terrific: http://www.romeshuttlelimousine.com
