Any good bargins in Western Europe?

I'm looking to head back to Europe in Oct/Nov to spend 7 to 10 days. With the dollar weakened as it is, are their any countries that rate as a good deal? I'm open to visiting any country, even though I've been to most. I'm not looking to visit Eastern Europe, as I've seen it recently. Hope to hear from some travel experts.

It is all relative, but I say Portugal.

From my travel research, you can get excellent hotel deals on Priceline and from http://www.hrs.de in various German cities. Based on reports, the food costs also seem reasonable. Perhaps this is even more true in former East Germany.

Greece used to be a relatively inexpensive place to visit; I assume it is still so, as compared to France, Italy, etc.? Although it is on the cusp of the east, I believe it is considered to be in western Europe.

You can also get good hotel rates with Bancotel.com or Pentabrax.com, especially in Spain, which can a bit less than some other places (and if you haven't been there, is well worth going, plus the weather should be good around that time.)

Who knows, the dollar might get stronger by that time.

Spain and Portugal will be cheaper than any other Western European countries, with probably Portugal being slightly cheaper than Spain. However, you're still stuck in Euro land, so you'll struggle to find a bargain.

Like WillTravel, we used www.hrs.com successfully for some of our hotel arrangements in Germany. We found food costs very reasonable in both Germany and Italy if you got away from the tourist areas--and quality was better, too.

Extremadura, Spain and Portugal.
