Maybe the German was saying to air travelers to have a "Gute Fahrt" or good ride?

He fell into conversation with a German chap who wanted to come to Scotland on hols, but wanted to know piles of stuff. First of all you need to understand how bizarre it is for my husband to speak to a stranger; and KMR told the nice German all about Fodors and that this was how to get the advice he needed. KMR has been slagging off my use of Fodors for over 10 years. It's so odd!

I can see you want to be cryptic, but what is "KMR" and "slagging"?

Slag, verb - to denigrate or disparage
(whereas as a noun it is used as tart, woman of dubious morals, Easy.)

I'm assuming KMR are the initials of Sheila's husband.

>Gute Fahrt
There once was that joke about that plane that never took off but was going to Paris on the Autobahn.

Thanks for explaining. From the title, I thought you meant he had insulted someone--i.e. are any Germans STILL speaking to my husband!!!
